Sander Reijgers....

Hood Design...

Sander Exhibition...

Sander Reijgers’ view of wearable art is extreme because his source of creativity stems from blow-up dolls. Yep, you know, that kind. He customizes ordinary tracksuits and hoodies by embellishing them with parts of the dolls. Heads, faces, breasts and so on. If you look carefully at the photos, he spares no parts of the doll’s anatomy.

The designer says, “These dolls are so ugly and vulgar that turning them into something beautiful has become a challenge for me. The doll is a means to convey something else.”

sander reijgers is a dutch artist based in utrecht who create assemblage sculptures using pieces from
plastic blow up dolls. in his latest work reijgers has created a series of objects made by cutting and
sewing together pieces from the sex dolls, including soccer balls, gloves and pieces of clothing.
the works also comes with explicit titles that point out where the materials originated; ‘sexball’ and
‘titball’ are among these titles.

LED is much appreciated, be it in eco-friendly electronics or on your clothes. It doesn’t matter, we just love to see it everywhere! LED clothing really isn’t anything new for we have seen the likes of glow fur coats, LED tops and brassieres. But so far, these clothes were seen to be the forte of techie geeks alone. However, thing will change now. The London based designer duo CuteCircuit has taken matter in their hands to create a spectacular Galaxy Dress.

Theo Jansen - Kinetic Sculptor

Theo Jansen....

Theo Jansen Sketch of Strandbeest

Theo Jansen (born March 14, 1948, in The Hague, Netherlands) is a Dutch artist and kinetic sculptor. He builds large works which resemble skeletons of animals and are able to walk using the wind on the beaches of the Netherlands. His animated works are a fusion of art and engineering; in a car company television commercial Jansen says: "The walls between art and engineering exist only in our minds."

Since 1990 Theo Jansen has been occupied with the making of a new nature. Not pollen or seeds but plastic yellow tubes are used as the basic material of this new nature. He makes skeletons which are able to walk on the wind. Eventually he wants to put these animals out in herds on the beaches, so they will live their own lives.
